IT Systems Support Specialist

Role: The Systems Support role will primarily provide remote support for IT Service Customers as it relates to firewalls, servers, desktops, laptops, wireless access points, switches, tablets, cell phones, copiers/printers, databases, miscellaneous software, and hardware. The candidate needs to be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly, escalate to more senior team members when needed, and be able to adapt to different environments easily. Majority of the work will be completed remotely so familiarity with remote access and support methodologies are required.

The role will also play a part in supporting IT related issues for multi-function devices and the related software. Following and creating documentation is instrumental in the success of this person.

The individual should be able to easily manage client expectations and communicate technical concerns and solutions to many different people with varying degrees of technical knowledge as well as work with all service delivery areas to help solve their technical issues.

A successful candidate could have 2-5 years’ experience in IT (or equivalent education considered).

  • Exposure to Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2019
  • Exposure to Microsoft Exchange Administration
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Microsoft Windows 7, 8.1 and 10
  • Mac OS and iOS
  • Windows Network Management: Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, etc.
  • Basic Network Administration: switches, VLANs, wireless access points/networking
  • Basic Database Knowledge
  • Ticketing systems
  • Remote Management and Monitoring systems
  • Virus/Malware remediation
